“Big Boston”
This was a gift from my late grandfather that I got when I was 7 and has followed me wherever I go. His name is Big Boston since he was given to me in my grandfather’s home in Boston, which was home away from home to me. Even though grampy Earl is no longer here, Big Boston reminds me of him as Earl was always like a huggable teddy bear.

“The Record Player”
This Victrola baby blue record player was the first thing I ever bought in college. It started my obsession with vinyl and buying records. I bought with the money my grandpa on my mom’s side gave to me for graduation and it goes with me whether I’m in Cali or Jersey. Since it double a briefcase, it always comes with me on the plane because I would never risk the record player getting broken in my suitcase.

“The Ticket Stub Diary”
This dairy contains over 200 ticket stubs of movies I have seen since 2014. I keep every single stub so I can put some mounting tape on the back and can be added to the collection. Every now and then I scroll through the book and remember what each stub reminds me of as it transports me back to a certain to in my life. I cover the diary with stickers that I get from vinyl I get so I can keep the fun stickers as those stickers transport me back to a certain time just like the stubs.

“The Paper Plate Award”
This feels like the first thing I’ll always cherish from my college life. Doing Richard Nixon’s big Adventure was a huge moment in my life and getting this paper plate award reminds me of how the production crew took a chance on me and how they embraced bringing my personality to the role of Staniel. I love the specific award on the plate because it means I’m my own thing, like something that isn’t defined. Much like Staniel, I can’t be compared to anything else, which I found to be a beautiful sentiment from the Nixon crew.

“The Poster”
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is my favorite movie of all time. The first time I watched it was during a lonely chapter of my life of sophomore year of high school. It taught me that other people can go what I go through and still turn out alright and it also began my love for film and put me on the path I am right now. I’ve made a tradition to watch the film before the first day of school as a way to look back on where i’ve been and where I’m going while always catching something new to take away from the film as I get older and have more experiences in life.
